Welcome to Year One!
Class Teacher: Miss Middleton
Teaching Assistants: Miss Archer, Miss Little and Miss Jackson
Healthy week math activities -
In Geography, we used a European map to identify the countries in Europe. We then took the map away and found the countries that we could remember.
Look at how tasty our smoothies are, YUM!
This half term we are practicing our fundamental skills through athletic activities.
Look what we have been doing.
Year 1 was taken over by superheroes this Red Nose Day!
After reading the story ‘Supertato’ the children made their very own vegetable/fruit super hero.
Hopefully their super vegetables can catch the evil pea!
WELCOME BACK YEAR 1! 🌈
Welcome back to school Year 1, we have truly missed you.
To celebrate the return of children we enjoyed a rainbow day. In Year 1, our colour was orange and our value was hope. We discussed what the word ‘hope’ means and what our hopes for the future are.
We enjoyed lots of creative activities around the colour orange and the value hope. We also enjoyed making scrumptious cakes.
Growth Mindset PE
We worked as Teamwork Tigers to complete different activities with the parachute. We also played games using our fundamental skill hopping.
World Book Day in Year 1
This Wellbeing Wednesday we looked at the book The Tiger Who Came to Tea.
In the morning, we made tiger masks and enjoyed tiger yoga.
In the afternoon, we made jam sandwiches and had a tiger tea party.
We wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
In Art, we enjoyed using mirrors to draw a self portrait.
