Mental Health Day!

On 10th October, we celebrated World Mental Health Day.  We all wore yellow to school as this is a bright, happy colour which makes us stand out.  In Year 5, we started the day with a wordsearch where we were finding words linked to mental health.  In the afternoon, the children flourished in a yoga session in the hall.  The children were wonderful at concentrating on the poses, breathing and mindfulness activities.  Many of them commented on how good it made them feel after the session ended.  We finished the day with some mindfulness colouring and calming music.  We spoke a lot about what to do if we are feeling upset, worried or concerned about our own or someone else's mental health.
